The Obama administration has taken the first confrontation move against China by imposing a massive import tariff on Chinese tires. The US has already lost over 5000 jobs and closed down one tire factory due to unethical competition from Chinese companies.
The tariffs are expected to make US tires more competitive and help avoid further job losses in the US tire industry. This is expected to anyway bring more commercial battles between China and US businesses.
