The ruling military Junta in Myanmar has extended the detention of the Opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi on tuesday, ignoring the worldwide plea and appeals to free the Nobel laureate. An official said that her period of arrest has been extended by one year, on condition of anonymity. This puts off any hope of democracy returning back to this long military ruled and ruined country.
