India and Russia have been having a friendly relationship ever since India got independence in the year 1947. During the cold war era, this relationship improved further. Since two decades Russia has helped India gain knowledge and benefits of Nuclear energy. Towards that end, Russia has now sent a fresh consignment of Nuclear Fuel ie. enriched Uranium to India for its newly built Kudankulam Nuclear power project in the Southern part of India.
