The Pakistan army and its arm ISI have so far been able to continue their anti-social activities without being punished. They have been in the last few years paying the price internally also due to the increasing incidence of bomb blasts by the terrorist groups that have been flourishing in Pakistan with the active support of the army. Now the same army has been forced to act against these forces which have become bigger by now. 

Another key problem is that the oil rich countries like Saudi and Iran which have been aiding Pakistan are also now at the receiving end due to increasing incidence of violence in and around their countries, and also due to dwindling crude oil prices. If the current crude oil price trends continue for another year, the world can expect peaceful growth in years to come.
