There could be a nuclear war in the Korean region if the stand off between North Korea and South Korea does not get resolved in the coming months. North Korea went ahead and tested wide range of nuclear capable missiles, and South Korea got a UN resolution putting more sanctions on North Korea.

Just a small flash point between these two powers, could lead to a nuclear strike in the region, which US is sincerely trying to avoid.
