March 2010 was Malaysia released the New Economic Model (NEM) which will help Malaysia facilitate progress. The NEM will even help Malaysia to become a high income country and bring some changes in governance structures. The whole document of NEM in detail is available in www.neac.gov.my .

Some of the components of NEM are as follows
The state dominated shift from private sector to the growth for both foreign and domestic.
There will be more autonomy between the state and local government for better service and innovative growth initiatives.
There will be a improved competitive economic clusters and no artificial balance in allocation of state investment.
The economic engagement will be more with Asia and other Middle East countries so as to reduce the dependence of industrial countries for their markets,technology and investment.
To give fair opportunities to everyone in spite of allow ethnicity and attracting talent creating a good environment Malaysian talent abroad.
More government assistance will be given to people with 40% less income regardless the social identity and for Malaysian national identity.
