The Indian stock markets crashed today to touch new lows due to the uneasy developments on the political front. The Indian government is currently run by the Congress party with the support of the Communist party. The Communist party does not want the government to sign the Nuclear treaty with US, and has threatened to withdraw support to the government if it goes ahead with the discussions with international atomic energy agency. The Congress party is planning to go ahead with the talks, unconfirmed reports say. Hence the stock markets have gone into a tailspin.
