Gay sex in India was a criminal offense for the past several decades and now a local High Court has now officially recognized the gay sex as permissible between adults, through mutual consent. The issue was actually not expected to be cleared by the court since most of the political parties were against it.
It needs to be seen whether the ruling congress party would contest the court ruling at the Supreme Court or not.
