The second most populous country in the world, India, is experiencing a major shortfall in annual monsoon rains this year. So far the rains are short by over 25% and over 40% of the agriculture region has been declared as drought hit by the government.
If the rain does not improve in the coming weeks, which also looks bleak, if you go by the Monsoon forecast experts, then the country is all set to face major shortfall in many food products.
