India got their first Olympics gold in an Individual event after nearly 25 years, through Abhinav Bindra. He shot to fame by clinching the gold medal in individual shooting event few days back. Overnight, Bindra is now known to over 50% of the Indians from nowhere. Many state governments have lined up to felicitate his victory by awarding lacs of rupees of awards. Many corporates are also said to be lining up brand building exercise through Bindra.
