The natural gas production in India is set to double over the next six to twelve months. This is expected to help India reduce the costly crude oil imports in a major way because many industries including power and fertilizer plants use crude oil based fuels currently. With more natural gas available, these plants will shift completely to natural gas and hence the demand for other fuels is expected to come down crashing in coming months. This will also help the country to save on precious foreign exchange.
