The battle battered Sri Lanka just came out victorious over the dreaded terrorist group , Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. But the decade old war has cost the country billions of dollars in lost export revenues and also expensive arms and ammunitions.
Now the country has sought and got a line of credit from IMF for 2.6 billion dollars, which will be used over the coming years to prop up the sagging economy.
