On Tuesday International Monetary Fund(IMF) managing director Dominique Strauss Kahn addressed a conference in Singapore. The managing director has welcomed the regional organizations similar to Ching Mi Initiative in East Asia. Strauss said such organizations could function under a overarching role of the Imf while he proposed during the conference. After completing a lecture and answering some questions during the conference in Singapore under Monetary authority Strauss asked for a efforts.

The efforts which were needed for the next level by addressing the global unemployment and the income inequalities across different countries. The Asian Monetary Fund had come up before a decade and had been opposed first out of certain concerns like the new regional organizations. However the new regional organization would bring down the power of IMF while Strauss opinion is exactly opposite stated Strauss. Chiang Mai Initiative is a currency pool and is in China,Japan and some Asian countries which is most welcomed by Strauss during the conference.

The initiative will be on the move as fast as possible and we need certain regional organizations like the regional organizations stated Strauss. At IMF there has been cooperation between different organizations and is a pleasure working with these organizations along with the spirit. There has been an unstable economic recovery seen in the development of the countries but still the growth is below the potential in advanced economics. In spite of all these the developing and emerging economies seems to be growing much faster stated Strauss while focusing and in his lecture. During his lecture Strauss even cautioned about the recovery which has lead the global unemployment at a high level widening the income inequalities.
