Computer software giant Hewlett-Packard is having a deal to acquire a security software. The security software which mostly HP would buy would be mostly Arc Sight Inc. The deal was around $1.5 billion according to the media report released by media and Wall Street Journal. The things of the deal is cautioned were fluid and related reports will be announced later on.

The publication said that the price of a share of HP which would be willing to pay is not yet out and can be learned. Arc-sight has asked the price of a share to go up to$42 per share for the sake of the deal. The deal between HP and Arc Sight is happening for the second time and HP has agreed to pay the amount. The premium paid by HP is big for the company which is small from the day since the ex-executive Mark Hurd resigned.

Last time Hp was engaged with a bid and has competition with the rival Dell over the storage firm 3Par. The price of the firm 3Par and Dell was doubled to $18 per share due to one reason competition. HP even had some software acquisition with makers of software like Fortify and Stratavia. The present deal with HP and Arc-sight will bring growth to HP-into software area outside core computer hardware business.
