Citigroup which is badly in need of funds to shore up its fast depleting capital, due to the mortgage and credit crisis mess, has sold its german credit business to France Mutuel for a little over 8 billion dollars. This is more or less a crisis sales by the Citigroup which is expected to announce another multi billion dollar write offs for the just ended quarter in coming weeks.
