The Chinese government has asked the world’s largest software maker, Microsoft, to stop selling certain versions of Windows, because it contains some fonts which are designed by a local company.
The stand could also be seen as a indirect message by China to the visiting US President on unilateral business restrictions being taken by US. The act is more a symbolic gesture and is not expected to cost anything for Microsoft or China.
