Much to the liking of experts and investors, the Bank of England and the European Central Bank this week decided to keep their interest rates at current levels. Both the central bankers have warned of bleak economic prospects in the near term, and have expressed their concern that the inflation levels may take time to ease out. If needed they may increase the interest rates in coming quarters.
