The United Nations has warned the Asia over the major resurgence of bird flu and mutant strain of H5N1 virus. The Food and agriculture organization of UN has asked the surveillance and preparation for outbreak of the virus. The outbreak of virus has influenced as many as 565 people when it started in the year 2003 and about 331 were killed. About 63 countries have eliminated the virus and in 2006 the virus was at its peak and is mainly due to the poultry culling.

Due to some of the migration patterns in birds many wild birds and poultry birds have been affected reported FAO. There has been a decline in the virus in the year 2004 to 2008 but the virus has suddenly flare up reports FAO. There has been stain of the virus in some parts of China and Vietnam and has caused the concern and have started some vaccines. The virus traces has been seen in Vietnam and the threat will continue in Cambodia,Thailand and Malaysia ,Korean peninsula and Japan.

Earlier in this month due to the virus some human death were seen in Cambodia and has registered some eight cases over infection. Some more countries which would be affected by the virus infection includes Bangladesh,China,Egypt,Indonesia,and other parts of Asia. There needs to be some actions taken against the virus as it is spreading through the poultry production and the marketing.
