The company has gained profit and doubled. The Barclays has doubled its profit when compared to 2009.Barclays has a bumper profit of 7% and has given an optimistic view to shareholders. Many investors have are optimistic of the companies improvement in 2010.

The year has also bloomed with good market value for the second largest bank of Britain. During the crisis the market value avoided the bailout of the company. The top executive’s cash bonus was also declining by the Barclay. For 2009 Barclays would pay around Euro 1.5 billion as discretionary cash payments. A Euro of 1.2 billion of three years long term awards has also been taken.

Barclay has also merited bonus for merit employees .The bank will also has to pay 50% tax to the British government on bonuses. The bonus pool shall be reduced so that the tax will be reduced. Globally all employees will be facing the reduction of bonus.
